The Dornier Estate, also known as the Ludwig Siebert Estate or the Estate at Gößweinsteinplatz, is located in Aubing, or more precisely in Neuaubing, and is a listed historical monument as a prime example of a National Socialist factory settlement. It was designed between 1938 and 1940 in connection with the development and expansion of the armaments industry in Munich and Bavaria.
The Dornier housing estate was built according to designs by Franz Ruf. It was primarily intended for the workers in the neighboring Dornier aircraft factory. Its first official name was Ludwig Siebert Estate, named after the National Socialist Prime Minister Ludwig Siebert. However, the residents more commonly referred to it as the Dornier Estate.
