Friedenheim is a settlement in the Laim district of Munich, south of the well-known Donnersberger Bridge. Landsberger Straße runs directly through the Friedenheim settlement.
The settlement is named after an estate that has stood there since 1803. The Laim district of Friedenheim was officially founded in 1818 during the formation of the municipality. However, there is also a part of Friedenheim located in Neuhausen, which is the larger of the two.
From 1892 onwards, there was an iron foundry on Elsenheimer Straße (today Straubinger Straße, house number 28). Historians have been able to prove this. It likely existed until 1917. Incidentally, the Hacker Brewery also had a malt house in Friedenheim.
