Cosima Park is located in the Munich district of Englschalking, within the Bogenhausen borough. It lies east of Cosima Street, which gives the park its name. Cosima Park is further bordered by Englschalkinger Street and Beckmesser Street.
Cosimapark was founded in the 1960s. The architectural firm of Ernst Barth designed the plans for the Munich housing development. The developer was Münchner Grund GmbH & Co. KG. In 1968, architect Ernst Barth received the “Honorary Award for Housing Construction” for one of the buildings he designed in Cosimapark.
Cosimapark covers approximately 11 hectares and consists of 13 residential buildings scattered throughout a green space. Six of the buildings are high-rise towers with up to 18 stories. The other buildings have at least four stories. In total, Cosimapark contains 1,600 residential units, some rented and some owned by the residents.
The green spaces feature sculptures created by the sculptors Alexander Fischer and Heinrich Kirchner.
