Neufreimann is now part of Munich-Freimann and was founded in 1858. In that year, the first houses in the area were built on what is now Ingolstädter Straße. New houses were also built between Milbertshofener Straße, Domagkstraße, and Hürnbeckstraße in the second half of the 19th century.
After the end of World War II, several houses and apartments in the area were given to the US military administration to house displaced persons. However, it proved difficult to relocate them back to their former homes, especially since some of them did not want to return.
From 1960 onwards, the name “Neufreimann” was primarily used for the industrial areas near Domagkstrasse and Frankfurter Ring. The Euro-Industriepark was and still is also part of this area.
Neufreimann is still undergoing restructuring today, so the exact size of the settlement remains somewhat unclear to many residents. In any case, Neufreimann was incorporated into Munich in 1931, just like the present-day district of Freimann.
