The padlock “Iron Rock”<\/h2>\n

The development of the “Iron Rock” padlock in the forge in the basement of August Bremicker’s home in the mid-1920s was groundbreaking for the company’s success. At a time when locks were often still unwieldy or easy to pick, the “Iron Rock” set new standards in terms of robustness and durability. The product laid the foundation for the company’s reputation as a quality manufacturer. Soon the capacities in the basement were no longer sufficient, and the first factory was built. <\/p>\n

Expansion and internationalization<\/h2>\n

After the Second World War, ABUS managed to quickly master the resurgence. In the 1950s, the range was massively expanded. A decisive milestone was the opening of the production site in Rehe (Westerwald) in 1957.
